Choosing a photographer for your wedding is a big deal--and can also be totally overwhelming. How do I know she's the right photographer for us? Will she understand my vision? What if we don't like the images? Believe me! I get it! I was once in your shoes, and to be honest, my biggest regret about my own wedding was not hiring a photographer who understood what we (okay, I! haha) wanted.
So let me put your mind at ease about a few things:
1. You should get a sense of who I am from my website and social media, but I also like to speak with potential clients before booking (email, phone, zoom--whatever is most comfortable for you). This allows us to start getting to know each other, and to get that feeling about whether or not we click. I want you to have a photographer who not only understands you, but who also feels like a friend (and that goes both ways!). Which means, I may not be the photographer for you, and that is okay! My goal is for you to be happy.
2. Besides wanting you to be happy, I strive to document your day in a way that allows you to relive the feelings and emotions long after the day has come and gone. I will be as hands on or hands off as you want me to be; if you want my guidance and direction throughout the day, it's yours. If you prefer for me to step back and capture the day as it unfolds, that is what I will do. I am a nostalgic person, and am passionate about capturing not just the big obvious moments but also the passing glances, the sweet touches, the intimate details. If these things are important to you, too, then I think we will be a great fit.
3. I want you to dive into my portfolio page, my Instagram, ask for galleries--whatever you need to do to know that you connect with my images before you book me. My heart and soul goes into my work, and what you see is going to be similar to the art I create for you. If you love my images, if they make you feel, then you shouldn't have to worry about loving your images at the end of the day.

Step One
You're already here, so that's the initial step! If you're ready to book, or you'd like more info about my wedding packages, head on over to my contact page; I will get back to you typically in less than 24 hours. We can chat via email, phone, or zoom before you make it official (with me ;).
Step Two
When you decide which package you would like, I will send you a contract (read that baby over and I will help you with any Qs) and invoice. A 30% retainer is required to secure your date; the remainder can be paid any time before and up to the day of the wedding/session.
Step three
Once I receive your signed contract and retainer, you will be sent my wedding guide, which can help you with everything from what to wear to your engagement session to planning the timeline for your day. I will also send you a questionnaire to help me get to know you better!
Step four
You are never far from my thoughts, so I like to stay in touch to see how planning is going, if you have any wonders or questions, and what I can do to ensure your day is unforgettable in the very best way. My clients become family!

1. How do we receive our photos?
I use an online photo gallery service to share your photos with you! From this gallery, you are able to download both full-resolution (best for printing) and web-resolution (best for social media/email) images. Your gallery will remain available for 6 months, so please ensure you download them within that time frame!
2. How many images do we receive?
Weddings: the industry standard is around 50 edited images per hour of coverage. This is a conservative estimate for me, but I truly believe in quality over quantity!
Lifestyle Sessions: 40 images are included in the package pricing.
3. What is needed to book with you?
To book with me officially, I require a signed contract and a 30% retainer. Then your date and time is reserved for you and all the magic that will happen! Please understand that a conversation about a potential date does not mean that date will be held for you, but once you sign the contract and send the retainer, the date is yours!
4. What is a retainer?
A retainer is a non-refundable fee paid to hold (retain) a specific date for your wedding or lifestyle session. It means that this date (and me!) is all yours!
5. Do you travel?
You bet I do! With three children, the chance to travel anywhere alone (and listen to my true crime podcasts or my choice in music) is a treat! Travel fees are included for locations within 50 km of Chauvin AB. I charge $0.58/km for locations outside of this distance.
6. Can we get the raw images?
In case you were wondering, raw images are the ones straight from the camera, and I never give these out, because to me, they are just the beginning of the art I will create for you. Editing is where a lot of the magic occurs and it is part of why you have chosen me as your photographer. Trust that I use my professional eye to provide you with the very best of your images!
